We also recommend basic knowledge of English. At least in reading and speaking skills.

OBJECTIVES

Train professionals able to:

  • Learn about the protocols of action to carry out a proper triage
  • learn to apply the scale of gravity of most common nosological entities
  • know the protocolos of action together of SAMU, police, fire brigade, etc…
  • know the chain of survival in medical emergency situations
  • Learn about the Protocol in situations of risk (Nuclear-biological-chemical) NBC

CURRICULUM

The master's degree has a total of 120 ECTS credits equivalent to two academic years.

1st Course

Psychological Intervention in Emergency Medicine
ACCESS THE SUBJECT

Exposes its content strategies of support, psychological coping and self-protection measures, communication with victims and families in situations of rescue, reporting bad news and information to the population in the field of the emergency medical or sanitary disasters and control of occupational stress in health professionals.

Areas, Bioethical Bases and Patient Safety in Emergency Medicine

ACCESS THE SUBJECT 

Its content emphasizes the differential concept between the urgent and the medical emergency and the reasons for considering the medical action in and out of the hospital as a continuum, knowing the chain of survival, quality control systems, bases bioethical and legal action responsibilities, informed consent in action and procedures document of directives, the types of medical transport, triage techniques and safety rules both of the patient as health workers in the field of the urgency and the medicine emergency.

Clinical Pharmacology

ACCESS THE SUBJECT

Medical Urgencies Outside the Hospital

 ACCESS THE SUBJECT

The most important is the content medicalized primary medical transportation of the medical urgency out of the hospital with special emphasis on the performance in domestic and in the street, the legal responsibilities of acting and the protocols of action in case of NBC (Nuclear-Biological-Chemical) risk, or accidents with multiple victims and those of joint action SAMU-Local police, SAMU-national National Police, SAMU-Fire Brigade, SAMU-ADIF and SAMU-airport.

It defines the characteristics of the pediatric critical patient, sets the concept of effective blood volume and describes the metabolism in acute injury, the systemic inflammatory response, the scales of gravity and dysfunction-failure of organs and characteristics, pathophysiology, assessment and therapeutic action in States of shock and Sepsis code.

It describes the algorithms of valuation and therapeutic action in Urgency or Emergency bone and joint, including crushing, both in domestic, syndrome in public places or on the street, the primary transportation medicalized, the protocol of action in accidents with multiple victims, and develops code activation, valuation and guideline of action, Politrauma code under an integral and coordinated vision of action.
